Start with the next useful decision

Show enough information for the learner to choose the next step. Keep definitions, backlinks, and supporting evidence nearby without forcing all of them into the first view.

Connections are optional depth

The main note should stand alone. Links to atomic notes and trust boundaries let a reader deepen the model when it becomes relevant.

Preserve orientation

Clear headings, a table of contents, and previous or next navigation make deeper exploration feel intentional rather than disorienting.
